Gene Major

Gene Major serves as the Attorney Compliance Division Director for the State Bar of Texas, where he oversees the MCLE, Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS), and Client-Attorney Assistance Program (CAAP) departments. In addition, he directs the Bar’s Advertising Review Department, serving as staff contact for the Advertising Review Committee and liaison to the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel.

With a deep understanding of the intersection between legal ethics, professional responsibility, and regulatory compliance, Gene plays a central role in maintaining the integrity and professionalism of Texas lawyers.
