Texas Center for Legal Ethics in The New York Times
The New York Times this morning published a letter to the editor by Jonathan Smaby, Executive Director of the Texas Center for Legal Ethics, responding to an op-ed piece published earlier this week on the Time’s website. The op-ed proposed the elimination of law schools and bar exams and allowing non-lawyers to practice law. More discussion can be found on the Center’s blog, On the Merits.
