What’s New for Subscribers

A New Account Look

Your account now has a new look.  Redesigned with you in mind, we made it easier to manage your information, access your online courses and bookmark resources for future use, such as specific ethics opinions and rules.  The dashboard gives you a snapshot of all the information in your account.  You can customize your dashboard with a profile picture and quickly access information on your account using the dropdown menu under your name.  Here you can select the information you want to see, such as your available CLE courses or specific ethics content you have saved to your account.

Receive 3 Hours of Ethics CLE

With a subscription to Texas Center for Legal Ethics, you receive 3 hours – your entire annual requirement of ethics CLE.  Choose the online programs* you want to view then send a request directly to staff at Texas Center for Legal Ethics to view the programs using your “ethics CLE credits”.   You will be notified when the programs are added to your account.

Timely Notices & Reporting of MCLE Hours

As a subscriber, you will also receive email notifications when your birth month is approaching as a reminder to use your ethics CLE credits.   Once you complete an online course on our site, the hours are reported to the State Bar of Texas MCLE department within one business day.  A copy of the Certificate of Completion is located in your account under Courses.

Save Valuable Ethics Resources Including Opinions & Rules

Subscribers can now save a specific ethics opinion or a specific part of a rule to your account for easy access.  You will need to first log into your account, then locate the Bookmark icon under the Resources tab on the top right of the page.  The following are resources that can be bookmarked:  ethics opinions, Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure and Texas EthicsExchange articles.

*The Justice James A. Baker Guide to Ethics and Professionalism in Texas course is excluded.
