Timothy D. Belton
Timothy D. Belton is a retained executive search consultant with Preng & Associates and Chairman of ZeoGas LLC. His search practice focuses on group hires in support of large transactions, to which he brings a “client perspective” where search is part of the investment to drive an organization’s growth in value. He has served as Chairman, Director, CEO, COO and restructuring advisor for nearly a dozen organizations, including public and sponsor-backed companies, and as the principal executive, he has recruited executive teams who individually and collectively possess both the requisite technical skills and the character and ethics to operate as a team. Mr. Belton began his career at Andersen Consulting Strategic Services (Accenture) where he led major change, acquisition strategy and growth agendas for billion-dollar revenue companies, culminating in his leadership if the firm’s post-merger integration practice in Texas. He later served as the restructuring officer and then COO of TRC Companies (NYSE: TRR, now private) leading the creation of a national management team to integrate the portfolio of 30+ acquired companies, as well as the Chairman and CEO of TDECU Holdings, the for-profit subsidiary of the related $3 billion credit union. He remains Chairman of ZeoGas LLC, which continues, under the team he put in place, to develop multi-billion petrochemical assets. He serves as a Trustee and Finance Committee Chair of The Texas Center of Legal Ethics, President of the Business Ethics Forum and, by appointment of the Texas Supreme Court, on the Committee for Disciplinary Rules and Referendum, having previously been named the Outstanding Third Year Director of the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors. Mr. Belton holds a BBA in Business and Technology Management from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
